Frequently Asked Questions
What does mynewGolf.com do?
We source new cars from a number of main dealers and exporters located in the EU, we either
import them directly or assist our customers to do so themselves. We only supply vehicles
which give the best possible value to our clients.
Can I specify my own car?
Yes, the option to order a car to your own specification is there and we can still be extremely competitive on price. Vehicles built to order take approximately 12 - 14 weeks to be delivered. Vehicles that are shown as stock are delivered in about 4 weeks.
If I do not see the car how do I know what I am buying?
After your initial enquiry and before you commit yourself and place an order you will
be sent an exhaustive list of the vehicle specification, which you will inspect, sign,
and return to us. The same list will be checked and signed by the supplying dealer so
all parties know exactly what is being ordered. On arrival of the vehicle in the UK the
car will be checked by our team of engineers who will confirm that everything is as per
your order before you take delivery.
Is the price affected by foreign exchange fluctuations?
No, the final price is quoted in Sterling (GBP) and is the guaranteed 'on the road' price
you will pay. The price is inclusive of VAT at 17.5%, 12 months Road Fund Licence, first
registration fee and number plates
How do I order my car?
mynewGolf.com will arrange all the paper work for you, but in order to do so
we will require the following documentation. When you are ready to place your order we
will require the following:
1. A copy of your passport photo page or a copy of your photo driving licence.
We will ask you to pay a deposit. 10% for cars shown as stock and a deposit of 12% for vehicles that need to be ordered. The deposit is payable into our UK bank account. It can be paid in the following method:
1. Personal or business cheque drawn on a UK bank account
2. Bank Transfer
How do I collect my vehicle?
Prior to registering the vehicle we will require the following:
a) Payment of the balance, either by cheque or bank transfer.
b) Your original passport or photo driving licence,
c) Two original utility bills (electricity, gas, water). These are required by the DVLA
for proof of address.
d) An original insurance cover note showing the chassis number of your car (which we
will supply).
These documents must be sent by registered post/recorded delivery to us and we will return
them either personally when you collect your vehicle or by registered post. We will contact
you to arrange for collection of your vehicle once the balance of funds has been received
and cleared through our bank account.
Whose name will appear on the log book?
Your name as provided by your documentation will be the first registered keeper of the
vehicle.
Why should I buy a new car from mynewGolf.com?
We aim to offer you the best value for money possible with the maximum discount and highest
personal service.
What if something goes wrong?
We will make every effort to ensure that once you have ordered your vehicle everything
will go to plan, unfortunately, sometimes, situations beyond our control may cause problems.
You have our assurance that we will make every effort to rectify anyproblems. If upon
delivery the vehicle is not to the specification ordered and you do not wish to take
delivery, you must inform us immediately and subject to certain conditions you will be
entitled to a full refund.
What if I have a car to Part Exchange?
We are not car dealers, therefore, we are unable to take cars in Part Exchange, however, we may be able to put you in touch with a dealer who may be willing to make an offer for your existing car. Of course, selling your car privately will normally give you the maximum selling price.
